Take a quick look at the progress in the Great Room! I’m thrilled with how much natural light pours in through the doors and windows, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. To stay within budget, I handmade the curtains using a fabric that lets in soft light during the day while providing privacy at night. The fireplace is still a work in progress and will eventually feature tile, wooden shelves, and firewood storage boxes on either side. The dining table was a fantastic auction find for just $15, and my friend updated the chair pads with thicker foam seats and chic faux cowhide fabric. From the soaring ceilings and wood beams to the tongue-and-groove ceiling, expansive glass doors, and stunning windows, this is easily my favorite space that Dan and I have created so far.
