Our off-grid greenhouse is officially complete—and I couldn’t be more thrilled! It’s not only beautiful but also functional and ready to grow fresh, nutritious, and delicious food for our family. We built this greenhouse on a budget by repurposing leftover materials from our ranch house build and scoring great deals at a local auction. All the windows and sliding glass doors cost just $225 total, and we picked up bundles of wood for anywhere between $40 and $100. The main items we purchased new were the polycarbonate roofing and the concrete and rebar for the footings. One of my favorite features is the large window garden box on the exterior, perfect for herbs and flowers. I’m hoping it becomes a haven for local pollinators!
