Just as we finished planting the first round of herbs in our new medicinal garden, Dan and I were taking a well-earned break, sitting on the fence and admiring our work. Suddenly, our daughter—who recently moved here with her family from the East Coast—came running outside calling, “Mom, Dad, come out back! There’s a storm or something coming—can you hear it?” We paused, listened… and sure enough, we could hear the unmistakable sound of a monsoon racing toward us. We quickly joined her and the grandkids out back, and rushed everyone inside just as the storm rolled in fast and fierce. This video captures the moment I dashed from the house to the greenhouse to close it up before the winds could cause too much trouble. Thankfully, aside from getting pelted with dust and watching a few disc golf baskets go flying across the ranch, everything (and everyone) weathered the storm just fine.
